President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has officially commissioned “Coast Guard Ship Imaduddin,” a vessel gifted to the Maldives by the Australian Government. This is a brand-new vessel constructed at the Henderson Shipyard in Australia, as part of the government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the nation’s defense capabilities. The addition of this ship will significantly enhance the Maldives National Defence Force’s (MNDF) capacity in maritime surveillance and responding to maritime threats. This vessel stands as a symbol of the close bilateral relations between the two countries and serves as a vital asset in ensuring the maritime safety and security of the Maldives.
