The government has commenced the development of a state-of-the-art rehabilitation center in Uthuru Thila Falhu, aimed at reintegrating youth struggling with drug addiction back into society. President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu stated that this issue can only be effectively addressed by providing holistic solutions to its root causes, such as housing challenges, employment opportunities, and various other social difficulties. Although this project involves significant expenditure, the government’s primary objective is to complete the practical work within the current term and transform juvenile offenders into productive and valuable members of the community.
