President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has today appointed Hassan Zareer as the Minister of Finance and State-Owned Enterprises. Following the oath of office at a ceremony held at the President’s Office, the newly appointed Minister Zareer brings extensive experience to the role, having previously served in senior leadership positions at the Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA). He is also highly qualified with advanced academic credentials in the field of finance. This strategic appointment follows the resignation of the former Minister Moosa Zameer and is part of the government’s ongoing initiatives to strengthen and reform the nation’s financial landscape.
