In his message marking World Food Safety Day, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu reaffirmed the government’s steadfast commitment to ensuring that all food products consumed in the Maldives meet the highest standards of safety and reliability. The President highlighted key initiatives, including the enforcement of the Food Safety Act and the establishment of robust systems for comprehensive food testing and monitoring. Furthermore, he drew international attention to the plight of those deprived of essential food supplies in conflict zones, particularly in Gaza, and urged the global community to work collectively to ensure food security and safety for all.
