President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has affirmed that no public funds have been utilized for any personal travel since he assumed office. During a press briefing, the President emphasized that all costs associated with his private and family trips are personally funded. He further noted that, on certain occasions, he has personally covered the expenses of staff members accompanying him for official duties during these trips. In a continuous effort to minimize state expenditure, the President has also committed to traveling in Business Class rather than First Class for his official overseas visits.
