The Ministry of Islamic Affairs has announced that this year’s Eid al-Adha prayer will be performed in large congregations across 25 mosques and four designated outdoor venues within the Greater Male’ Area. The mass congregations are scheduled to take place at the Maafannu Stadium, the Villimale’ Football Ground, the Hulhumale’ Phase 1 Synthetic Track, and the open grounds in Hulhumale’ Phase 2.
In the event of inclement weather, the Eid prayer will instead be held at all mosques that regularly host Friday prayers. Furthermore, the Ministry has ensured that arrangements for women to participate in the prayer are available at all designated sites. The Eid prayer is set to commence at 7:00 AM.
