The Speaker of the People’s Majlis, Abdul Raheem Abdulla, has declared that the opposition will not be granted any opportunity within the Parliament to move a no-confidence motion against President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. Speaking at a campaign rally in Addu City, he stated that overthrowing the government is a mere fantasy harbored by the opposition, emphasizing that the public remains steadfast in their support for the administration. Furthermore, he highlighted the significance of electing the government’s candidate to ensure the continued development of Addu City, while critiquing the opposition MDP’s candidate. Abdul Raheem also expressed full confidence that the People’s National Congress (PNC) will secure victory in the upcoming Hithadhoo North constituency by-election, scheduled for the 6th of next month.
