The world-renowned open water swimming franchise, “Oceanman Maldives,” has officially commenced in K. Maafushi, featuring 532 swimmers from 40 different countries. The event was graced by the Minister of Sports, Fitness and Recreation, Abdulla Rafiu. This competition marks a significant milestone in the government’s policy to promote sports tourism in the Maldives. Organized by “Swim Maldives” and endorsed by Visit Maldives, more than 72 percent of the participants are international swimmers. The event is scheduled to continue until Saturday.
