President and First Lady to Host Eid Greetings Tomorrow

The President and First Lady will hold the traditional Eid greetings tomorrow, on the occasion of this year’s Eid-al-Fitr. President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Sajidha Mohamed will be receiving well-wishers from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the President’s Official Residence, Muleeaage.

The President and First Lady have extended an open invitation to the general public, state officials, foreign dignitaries, and representatives from various companies and non-governmental organizations to join the Eid greetings.

In particular, the First Couple has encouraged families to attend with their children and youth to partake in the festive occasion. Guests attending the event are requested to enter Muleeaage through the main gate located on Medhuziyaaraiy Magu. Access to the gate will be via Shaheed Abdullah Zuhair Hingun.

As the moon for the month of Shawwal was not sighted in the Maldives or any other Islamic country last night, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs has declared today as the 30th day of Ramadan, and tomorrow as the first day of Shawwal (Eid-al-Fitr).
