President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has conveyed his deepest condolences to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh following a devastating fire in ADh. Dhigurah that claimed the lives of five Bangladeshi nationals. In his message, the President expressed profound sorrow over the incident and extended heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families and the Government of Bangladesh on behalf of the Maldivian people.
Furthermore, the President wished a speedy recovery to those injured and confirmed that relevant authorities have been instructed to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter. The incident occurred at a residence housing expatriate workers. It has been reported that two additional victims are currently receiving treatment on ventilator support at IGMH, and their conditions remain critical.
