The Minister of Dhivehi Language, Culture, and Heritage, Adam Naseer Ibrahim, has announced that significant efforts to modernize the National Museum and revamp its internal structural arrangements will be undertaken this year. Under the guidance of the President, this project will be carried out with the assistance of the Chinese government. The initiative includes building renovations and the establishment of an interactive museum experience through the integration of modern technology. This project is a key component of the government’s policy to diversify the Maldivian economy and tourism sector by promoting heritage tourism.
