The Ministry of Cities, Local Government, and Public Works has announced that more than 54,400 households in the Greater Male’ Area have received cases of canned fish distributed by the Government as Ramadan gifts.
The distribution of these gifts in the Male’ region commenced on the 24th of last month. According to the Ministry, as of last night, a total of 54,454 households in the Greater Male’ region have collected their canned fish cases.
The Ministry further stated that the distribution process in the administrative islands across the atolls is also progressing rapidly, with a significant portion of the distribution already completed.
To assist those who have been unable to collect their gifts due to various reasons, the Ministry has established additional collection points in Male’ and Hulhumale’. These include the Public Works Yard (near Maafannu Track) in Male’, and the MIFCO stores in Hulhumale’ Phase 1 and Phase 2.
The distribution will continue daily, except on Fridays, from 21:30 to 23:00.
