Addo and Siman Appointed to SAFF Committees

The South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) has appointed Abdul Hamied Abdul Ghafoor (Addo) and Ismail Siman from the Maldives to its standing committees.

Abdul Hamied Abdul Ghafoor, an experienced Match Commissioner and former General Secretary of the Football Association of Maldives (FAM), has been appointed as a member of the SAFF Appeal Committee. Addo is a highly regarded Match Commissioner within the Asian football region and has previously held several key positions at the FAM.

Ismail Siman has been appointed as the Vice Chairman of the SAFF Disciplinary Committee. A lawyer by profession, Siman is also a member of the Normalization Committee recently established by FIFA to oversee the FAM and organize its elections following the suspension of the former president, Bassam Adeel Jaleel.

The President of the FAM, Ahmed Thariq (Tom), has extended his congratulations to both members on their appointments. The South Asian Football Federation comprises seven member nations: Maldives, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka.
