As part of the project to modernize Boduthakurufaanu Magu in Malé, MTCC has announced that physical works to redevelop the segment from the Presidential Jetty to the Henveiru Ferry Terminal will begin late this month. The scope of this phase includes 600 meters of sheet piling, 700 meters of asphalt laying, as well as the construction of sidewalks and the installation of a comprehensive drainage system.
While two phases of this project have already been completed and opened to the public, the company estimates that the entire project will be finalized by April or May. Upon completion, this redevelopment is expected to provide a permanent solution to the flooding issues faced on the northern side of Malé and establish a safer environment for pedestrians.
