
The Maldives has welcomed 390,004 tourists so far this year, marking an 8.2% increase compared to the same period last year. According to the latest statistics, Kaafu Atoll remains the most popular destination, hosting 166,867 visitors. Alifu Dhaalu Atoll and Alifu Alifu Atoll follow as the second and third most visited regions, respectively. Notably, Kaafu Atoll also holds the highest number of operational beds in the country.
Currently, the Maldives records an average daily arrival of 7,959 tourists, with a record-breaking number of visitors documented on the 14th of this month. The government has set an ambitious target to attract 2.5 million tourists by the end of this year.
