In a strategic move to alleviate the chronic congestion in Male’ City’s commercial hub during the holy month of Ramadan, the main coastal road extending from the Local Market to the North Harbor has been modernized and officially reopened. The newly developed road features a four-lane layout, facilitating two-way traffic flow. This enhancement has provided immense relief to commuters and effectively addressed previous concerns regarding heavy traffic congestion. Furthermore, as part of the expansion project, sections of the harbor area were reclaimed to widen the road and establish dedicated motorcycle parking zones. These structural improvements have significantly reduced travel time and streamlined business activities within the market district, ensuring a more convenient experience for the public.
