The primary objective of the new management of New Radiant Sports Club is to restructure the club into a financially sustainable model that generates consistent revenue while clearing outstanding debts. Under the leadership of Chairman Ahmed Mubeen, the newly appointed board has already settled half of the club’s eight million Rufiyaa debt. This includes all payments owed to foreign players, with a strategic plan in place to clear all remaining arrears by the end of this year.
In an effort to restore its former footballing glory, New Radiant secured third place in the Dhivehi Premier League under the guidance of coach Ali Suzain. Furthermore, the club is focusing on its future development by establishing international-standard academies across various islands, supported by a Technical Director from Spain. The management’s core vision is to ensure that New Radiant remains a financially independent and resilient institution, regardless of who is at the helm.
