According to the latest statistics from the Ministry of Tourism, 98.4% of the registered tourist facilities in the Maldives are currently active. Out of the 68,095 registered beds, 67,009 are presently in operation, encompassing 179 resorts, 911 guesthouses, 169 safari vessels, and 16 hotels.
The data further reveals a 5.6% increase in tourist arrivals compared to the same period last year, with over 300,000 visitors recorded so far this year. The government aims to achieve a target of 2.5 million tourist arrivals by the end of the year.
