The asphalt paving of the Male’ market area has been successfully completed as part of the second phase of the Boduthakurufaanu Magu redevelopment project. In fulfillment of the President’s pledge to finish the work before the holy month of Ramadan, this project involved expanding a 260-meter stretch of the road into four lanes and reconstructing the harbor quay wall.
Managed by MTCC, the project’s remaining tasks include painting traffic markings and installing road signage. With the road expected to be open for public use by next week, this transformation is set to provide significant relief to the traffic congestion in the busiest commercial district of Male’.
