The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade has officially announced the revised operating hours for food and beverage establishments and retail outlets during the upcoming month of Ramadan.
In line with the annual tradition of adjusting service hours to provide greater convenience to the public, the Ministry has introduced these changes to accommodate the unique requirements of the holy month.
During Ramadan, unlike other months, service hours across all sectors undergo significant adjustments, with food and beverage services being suspended during daylight hours. According to the Ministry, cafes and restaurants are permitted to operate from 5:30 PM until 3:00 AM daily. Furthermore, during the first seven days of Shawwal, these establishments may serve customers from 4:30 AM until 3:00 AM.
The Ministry also specified the operating hours for retail businesses. Starting from Tuesday and continuing through the first seven days of Shawwal, retail shops are authorized to remain open from 5:30 AM until 1:00 AM.
According to the calendar, the first day of Ramadan is expected to fall on the 18th of this month.
