Chelsea secured a 3-1 victory against Wolves in last night’s English Premier League match, thanks to a clinical hat-trick by Cole Palmer.
Playing at Molineux Stadium against a Wolves side currently struggling in the relegation zone, Chelsea took the lead in the 13th minute. The opening goal came via a penalty, awarded after João Pedro was fouled inside the box, which Cole Palmer expertly converted.
Chelsea doubled their advantage in the 35th minute through a similar scenario. Following another foul on João Pedro inside the area, the referee awarded a second penalty, which Palmer once again successfully dispatched.
Just three minutes later, in the 38th minute, Palmer completed his hat-trick by connecting with a well-placed cross from Marc Cucurella, directing the ball into the back of the net.
Prior to this fixture, Palmer, who has missed a significant portion of the season due to injury, had only managed to score four league goals.
With this result, Chelsea now sits in fifth place in the league standings with 43 points from 25 matches. Conversely, Wolves remain at the bottom of the table, having secured only 8 points from 25 games.
Under the guidance of their recently appointed manager, Liam Rosenior, Chelsea has maintained an impressive run of form, winning all four of their most recent Premier League encounters.
