
Russia has emerged as the leading source market for Maldivian tourism this year, with arrivals already surpassing the 20,000 mark. This reflects a significant growth of 23.9% compared to the same period last year. Following Russia, the most substantial number of visitors originate from Italy, the United Kingdom, and China, with the Chinese market showing a particularly rapid upward trend.
According to the latest statistics, the Maldives has welcomed a total of 135,555 tourists so far this year, representing an 8.2% increase over the previous year’s figures. Currently, the country maintains an average daily arrival rate of 7,134 tourists.
