Captain Fathimath Shaaliya has affirmed that the Maldives national women’s team is fully prepared for the upcoming SAFF Women’s Futsal Championship in Thailand. Highlighting the team’s strengthened morale following intensive training on indoor pitches, she noted that this participation represents a significant advancement for women’s futsal at the national level. As the squad strives to achieve a distinguished result for the nation, Shaaliya appealed to Maldivian supporters to extend the same level of encouragement and backing to the women’s team as they traditionally show for the men’s side. The championship, featuring seven nations from the region including the Maldives, is scheduled to take place from the 13th to the 27th of this month.
