
The practical work of developing the Mandu Football Stadium in ADh. Atoll, which is set to be carried out by Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC), has commenced. The ceremony to mark the beginning of the construction work on the Mandu Football Stadium was held on Wednesday as part of the President’s trip to ADh. Atoll. The Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment, Abdullah Rafiu, officially inaugurated the construction work of the Mandu Football Stadium.
The President graced this ceremony, which was also attended by MTCC’s Managing Director DCP (Rtd) Ahmed Saudee, Mandu Council members, and senior officials from government institutions. Under this project, MTCC will carry out the construction of the perimeter wall, installation of stadium lights, preparation of the sub-base, and laying of turf. This is a project entrusted to MTCC by the government to be completed within 210 days at a cost of 11.48 million Rufiyaa.
MTCC stated that this project is closely tied to the aspirations of Mandu’s youth and that upon completion of the stadium, it will bring social progress to the island’s residents and facilitate the maintenance of unity. They added that this development will pave the way for community cohesion and advancement.
