The coach of Valencia, Ahmed Mujtaba (Fesco), has stated that the result of the match against Odi Sports Club was more different than expected, and that Valencia still needs time. In an interview given to PSM News after the second league match, Valencia’s coach said that they are not yet showing their most desirable performance and that it will take time. In the match between Valencia and Odi Sports Club, Odi defeated Valencia with a score of 7-1. Valencia won their first league match against Green Streets with a score of 2-1.
The coach highlighted that Valencia has a very young team and they don’t get much time for practice. Therefore, considering the situation, he said this is not such a bad result, although he admitted that the goal difference is a bit large. Fesco noted that even when Odi was leading by 4 goals, the players didn’t get discouraged and played with confidence, managing to score a goal. He said this is an encouragement for Valencia players to perform alongside top-level teams. He also mentioned that not all Valencia players are available for league matches yet, and he’s satisfied with the result achieved without some players. The coach added that since Odi has many experienced players, it would be difficult for Valencia to achieve their desired result against them.
“One thing is that we have a very young team. On the other side, there’s a team with very experienced players. The foreign players are not bad either. So that team is very experienced. No matter how we plan and play, it will be difficult to achieve the result we want against that team,” he said. Fesco also stated that as Valencia plays more matches in the league, they will be able to get into the game properly. Valencia is currently in sixth place in the table with 3 points.
