MTCC has begun work on the Fitness and Recreation Center being constructed in Th. Madifushi. A special ceremony was held to lay the foundation stone for the Madifushi Fitness and Recreation Center during President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s visit to Thaa Atoll. At this ceremony, attended by the President and senior officials of the island council, the foundation stone for the Madifushi Fitness and Recreation Center was laid by Minister of Finance and Planning Moosa Zameer and MTCC’s Managing Director DCP (Rtd) Ahmed Saudy.
This project includes excavation of a 1005 square feet area, masonry and concrete work, roof installation, painting, and exterior finishing. This project, valued at MVR 5.34 million, has been contracted to MTCC for completion within 240 days. This Fitness and Recreation Center is designed to include an indoor gym, aerobics classes, various board games, indoor sports facilities, a meeting room, and an office section.
