The Football Association of Maldives (FAM) has finalized and announced the national futsal team squad that will compete in the AFC Futsal Asian Cup Qualifiers. The Maldives national fut Maldives national futsal squad includes Ahmed Ayaz, Shamin Mohamed, Ali Shiyah, Ismail Wajeeh, Hussein Suhail, Ahmed Shamal, Huzaifath Rasheed, Ishan Ibrahim, Mohamed Imran, Ali Hafiz, Abdullah Zimam, and Abdullah Nasih.
The AFC Futsal Asian Cup Qualifiers will be held in Myanmar in 2026. The head coach of the national futsal team has been appointed as Ahmed Niyaz (Niya), a former renowned Maldivian futsal star who has achieved numerous successes both as a futsal player and as a coach. Niyaz has been particularly successful in the Golden Futsal Challenge held in the Maldives since 2016. Under Coach Niyaz’s guidance, the national futsal team has been conducting regular training sessions.
