
In the ongoing genocide against the people of Gaza, Palestine, more than 40 people have been martyred in a single day. According to Gaza’s health services, most of these martyrdoms occurred during the brutal attacks on Gaza City in the north. Israelis continue to commit inhumane crimes to colonize Gaza City and subjugate its residents. They have ordered the city’s inhabitants to abandon their homes and migrate to other areas. However, health sector sources in Gaza state that there are currently no safe places for the residents to travel within Gaza.
“The bombing hasn’t stopped since yesterday,” says Adil, a father of two children living in Gaza City. They reside in a refugee camp near the shore. “Many families have left the city, which is what the colonial power wants.” The Israeli military claims to have launched five intense attacks on about 500 areas of Gaza City over the past week. They also claim these attacks were aimed at the mujahideen of Hamas, the group fighting for Gaza’s independence. In these attacks, Israelis have destroyed and leveled numerous buildings where civilians lived. Gaza health officials say that the Israeli military has also targeted people who were traveling to migrate to other areas from Gaza City. The alliance of civil societies active in Gaza reports that about 10% of the nearly one million people living in Gaza City have migrated to other areas, abandoning their homes.
The international community has directed its disapproval towards the crimes committed by Israelis to colonize Gaza City. This includes the United Nations (UN), international organizations, and even Israel’s allied countries. These entities continue to call for an immediate halt to Israeli crimes. The number of people martyred in the ongoing massacre against Gaza’s residents has risen to over 64,000. Most of these are innocent women, innocent children, and the elderly. The number of injured has risen to over 158,000.
