President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has inaugurated the ATM service in Haa Dhaalu Finey. Establishing ATM services in all inhabited islands of the Maldives is one of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s pledges. In line with the President’s promise, the Bank of Maldives (BML) has begun the process of setting up ATM services in 100 new islands this year. During his current trip to Haa Dhaalu Atoll, the President visited Finey and launched the ATM service there. After inaugurating the ATM service, he withdrew money from the machine.
Following the launch of the ATM service, a commemorative bank card was presented to the Island Council.
BML stated that the self-service ATM installed in Finey will provide 24-hour cash withdrawal and deposit services for individuals and businesses, in addition to bill payment and transfer services. Moreover, the bank mentioned that this ATM will also offer services for credit card and loan payments. The government and BML have jointly initiated the process of establishing ATM services in islands with special emphasis, aiming to provide various banking services to citizens conveniently and easily, as close to them as possible, according to BML.
