Construction of Finey Police Station Officially Commenced

The construction of the police station in Haa Dhaalu Finey has officially begun. The commencement of the practical work for the Finey Police Station was officially initiated during President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s current tour of the islands in Haa Dhaalu Atoll. The ceremony marking the start of the construction work for the Finey Police Station was graced by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. The Minister of Home Affairs and Culture, Ali Ihsan, officially launched the construction work of the police station in Finey. He was accompanied by the Commissioner of Police, the Managing Director of MTCC, and the President of the Finey Council.

The development of the police station in Finey has been entrusted to MTCC. This project is part of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s policy to expand police services to all inhabited islands in the Maldives. The government’s goal is to establish police stations on every island in the Maldives within the next two years. Accordingly, work has already begun this year to establish police stations in many islands where they currently do not exist.
