ATM Service Launched in AA. Maalhos

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has inaugurated the ATM service in Maalhos, North Ari Atoll. Establishing ATM services in all inhabited islands of the Maldives is one of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s pledges. In line with the President’s promise, the Bank of Maldives (BML) has begun the process of setting up ATM services in 100 new islands within this year.

During his trip to North Ari Atoll, the President visited Maalhos and officially launched the ATM service there. To inaugurate the service, he withdrew money from the ATM.

After launching the ATM service, a commemorative bank card was presented to the Island Council. BML stated that the self-service ATM installed in Maalhos will provide 24-hour cash withdrawal and deposit services for individuals and businesses, in addition to bill payment and transfer services. Furthermore, the bank mentioned that this ATM will also offer services for credit card and loan payments. The government and BML have jointly initiated the process of establishing ATM services in islands with special emphasis to provide various banking services conveniently and easily to the public, as close to them as possible, according to BML.
