
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has arrived in Thulusdhoo of South Maalhosmadulu Atoll as part of his trip to the atoll. This is the fifth island the President has visited during his trip to Baa Atoll. Upon the President’s arrival in B. Thulusdhoo, heads of institutions, staff, and people of various age groups from the island warmly welcomed him. It has been arranged for the President to meet with the Island Council, the Women’s Development Committee, and heads of various institutions on the island. Additionally, he is scheduled to inaugurate several development projects planned for the island.d for the island.
As part of this trip, the President’s agenda includes laying the foundation for the Thulusdhoo Police Station and initiating the land reclamation work for the Thulusdhoo Airport. Moreover, the President will also have a meeting with the residents of Thulusdhoo during this visit. During his trip to Baa Atoll from the 11th to the 14th of this month, the President will visit all 13 inhabited islands in the atoll. These include Kamadhoo, Kudarikilu, Kendhoo, Eydhafushi, Thulhaadhoo, Goidhoo, Fehendhoo, Fulhadhoo, Hithaadhoo, Kihaadhoo, Dhonfanu, Dharavandhoo, and Maalhos.
Some ministers and senior and senior officials from various government institutions are accompanying the President on this trip. The trips that President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu is making to the atolls are aimed at visiting the people and assessing their situations firsthand. Another objective of these trips is to meet with the councils, discuss ongoing development work for the islands, and gather ideas and opinions.
