In the past 24 hours, Israel has launched some of the most intense attacks on Gaza in recent weeks. Israel has intensified its attacks on Gaza shortly after the terrorist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that they would soon expand their aggression in Gaza and colonize it entirely. Many believe this is an indication that Israel will further expand its military operations in Gaza.
Among the attacks carried out by Israel on Gaza in the past 24 hours was an airstrike targeting a media tent of Al Jazeera journalists set up in the courtyard of Al-Shifa Hospital. In that attack, Anas Al-Sharif, a journalist who was bringing news of Gaza to the world, along with four other journalists and an assistant were martyred by Israel. This attack resulted in the highest number of journalist casualties in a single incident since the aggression began. Since the start of the aggression, 238 journalists have been martyred in Gaza.
Israel’s recent attacks have also targeted three eastern neighborhoods of Gaza: Sabra, Zeitoun, and Shuja’iyya. These attacks involved Israeli tanks and aircraft. As a result, many families seeking shelter in these areas have been forced to move westward in Gaza. In the genocidal aggression that Israel began on October 7, 2023, more than 61,430 people have been martyred so far. While Israel has restricted the entry of food and aid supplies into Gaza, the people of Gaza are enduring extreme hunger. Due to starvation, more than 200 people have died in Gaza so far, including over 100 children.
In the attacks on Gaza over the past 24 hours, Israel has also martyred 34 Gaza residents. Israel continues to attack and martyr starving and desperate Gaza residents who go to aid distribution centers. Since late May, when aid distribution began in Gaza through the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), which is associated with Israel and the United States, 1,373 people have been martyred near aid distribution centers. Among those martyred in the past 24 hours are 12 people who were trying to obtain supplies from aid distribution centers.
