Malaysia Airlines Also Increases Flights to Maldives

Malaysia’s national airline, Malaysia Airlines, has also increased its flights to the Maldives coinciding with Europe’s winter season. The airline currently operates a daily scheduled flight between the Maldives and Malaysia. However, it has been announced that from October 30th, direct flights to the Maldives will increase from seven to eleven flights per week. Accordingly, four additional weekly flights have been scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

In addition to Malaysia Airlines, AirAsia and Batik Air operate direct flights between the Maldives and Malaysia. AirAsia has scheduled 17 flights per week to the Maldives, while Batik Air continues to operate seven weekly flights to the Maldives. Coinciding with the peak tourist season during Europe’s winter, other major airlines have also decided to increase their flights to the Maldives. In this regard, Qatar Airways has decided to increase its flights to the Maldives from three to four daily flights, while Condor has announced that it will operate five flights per week.

Virgin Atlantic, which flies between London, United Kingdom, and the Maldives, has also decided to schedule four flights per week starting from November 9th.
