Addressing the issue of there currently being no Dhivehi teacher in Vaadhoo, the President said that work has already begun to resolve this issue. “My assurance is that there will be 100% support from the government in finding a teacher. So, let’s all work together to find a solution for this. The physical development needed for the school will definitely be given priority and done early this year, including the hall work, classroom work, and other things,” the President said.

The President said he assures that the government will bring the fullness of education advancement as hoped by the island’s people. Additionally, he gave assurance that Vaadhoo’s main roads would be constructed. “From the budget that we start implementing this month, the most prioritized infrastructure development work will be the construction of the main roads needed in this island,” the President said.
The President said that the health center services will be further improved, and economic empowerment will be provided to councils through uninhabited islands, giving it high priority. He also said that to achieve the economic progress needed for this island’s island’s people, they will work positively with the council and relevant ministries, and the government will provide full support to bring it to an agreement afterwards.
“This will create opportunities for the island’s people to gain wealth through the council, with the involvement of the people,” he said. Overall, the government’s thinking is to provide opportunities that benefit the island’s small and medium enterprises through uninhabited islands via the council, and he said this opportunity will be made very accessible for this island as well. The President sai President said that the government will provide support for Vaadhoo’s development in all other areas as well.
The President noted that within this year, things will be started in an orderly manner, and the work will be completed together next year. “The overall plan I’ve set, as announced before, including at the celebration of the government’s first year, is that this coming year, and the year after that, will collectively be the years to fulfill the promises made during the campaign, both spoken at podiums and written in the manifesto. Practical work will be started, some things will be completed, and things that take longer might go up to 2027,” the President said.
The President said that 2025 and 2026 will be the years to do the things that have been decided, announced, and promised to be done in the islands.
