Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has launched a verbal attack on President Donald Trump, stating that Iran will not be intimidated by American threats and will not submit to U.S. orders. This This was reported by Iranian state media. Khamenei said that the disagreements between Tehran and Washington are not resolvable. The differences between Tehran and Washington have arisen over Iran’s nuclear program. Iran wants to run a peaceful nuclear program. However, the U.S., along with Western powers and Israel, continue to suspect that it is a program to produce nuclear weapons. America is Israel’s biggest supporter. Trump and Israel view Iran’s nuclear program as the biggest threat to the security security, future, and survival of the Zionist state.
Trump recently initiated important talks between the two countries to exert pressure and control over Iran’s nuclear program. However, dissatisfied with this, Israel preemptively launched terrorist attacks on Iran. These attacks lasted for 12 days. Israel’s attacks targeted Iran’s main nuclear program facilities. And on June 22, the U.S. also joined Israel. They launched powerful attacks using dangerous weapons on three Iranian nuclear facilities. With these attacks by Israel and Trump together, Iran has suspended the ongoing talks with the U.S.
However, discussions are still ongoing between Iran and Western powers regarding the initiation of these talks. And Iran and Western powers have agreed to officially start peace talks on August 22. Khamenei revealed that Iran will not be intimidated by America’s threats and will not bow to American pressures, coinciding with the agreement to restart talks. “They want Iran to be as America wants. Iran will stand firm with all its power to confront those who harbor such misconceptions,” Khamenei said. “Those who call for not speaking out against America and holding direct talks with America only see the scenes [America] shows… This is not a solvable issue.”
Western powers have been threatening that if Iran refuses to start peace talks, they will impose harsh punitive measures against the country through the United Nations. These countries include France, the United Kingdom, and Germany. These countries believe that Iran is working to produce a nuclear weapon. However, Iran continues to deny this accusation.
