We will not allow national stability to be undermined – President

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has stated that he will not allow political parties or any other group to undermine the national stability of the Maldives. Speaking at a function held in held in Ga. Maamendhoo tonight, the President said, “I will not politically persecute anyone in this country, there will be no revenge.” He also said that he wants “true stability in its real meaning” in the country.

“Our country will achieve development in its true sense only with stability. When I say true, I want comprehensive development to come to the country. Along with infrastructural development, I want our thinking to develop, our morals to develop, and our social behaviors and relationships to develop in a good way, leading to comprehensive development,” the President said.

The President said that the full benefits of development will only be realized by the people when stability is established in the country. As such, he has requested the people to support his efforts to maintain national stability with both a national and individual mindset. The President also noted that this is a very important thing that can be done for the country.

“I will not allow political parties or any other group to undermine this stability in this country. I will not give any opportunity for that,” the President said. He said that if anyone tries to do anything to that effect, “I will stop it with a national mindset and ensure national stability.” He also said that he will do this with determination.
