Water and Sewerage System Completed in Keyodhoo

The government has completed the project to establish a water and sewerage system in V. Keyodhoo.

The Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure stated that as part of the water and sewerage system project in Keyodhoo, two 45-ton RO plants, two 345-ton drinking water storage tanks, and one 960-ton rainwater storage tank have been installed.

The ministry also said that for the sewerage system, 3 pumping stations, a 4.3-kilometer water network, and a 3.9-kilometer sewerage network have been laid. Additionally, 27-kilowatt solar panels have been installed as part of this project.

The Ministry of National Planning stated that after completing the water and sewerage system work in Keyodhoo, it has now been handed over to the operator. The ministry also said that the system is currently providing services free of charge as part of the testing phase.

The Keyodhoo water and sewerage system project, which began in 2023, was funded by the Maldivian government. The contractor for this project was SASI Construction Private Limited.

Earlier this month, the water and sewerage system project in V. Felidhoo was also completed. Last month, similar projects were finished in GDh. Faresmaathodaa, L. Isdhoo, and L. Gan.
