
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has inaugurated the water and sewerage services in AA. Feridhu. The President inaugurated this service during a meeting held to meet with the residents of Feridhu. Under the project to establish water and sewerage services in Feridhu, a 5.04-kilometer long main sewerage network has been installed, along with a 1.07-kilometer pumping line, an administrative building for sewerage, 3 pumping stations, and one sea outfall. Additionally, an RO (Reverse Osmosis) building, water production plants, and 3 tanks for water storage have been installed. This facility has been established with solar panels for electricity generation.
Furthermore, boreholes have been drilled, and pumping stations, sea outfalls, reject lines, and equipment necessary for water analysis have been provided. The total cost of this project is 69.32 million Maldivian Rufiyaa. As a result of this project, the residents of Feridhu will have access to clean drinking water and a safe sewerage system.
