
The Maldivian government has officially declared 2025 as “Visit Maldives Year” to commemorate the 55th anniversary of the nation’s tourism industry. According to the Minister of Tourism, Honorable Ibrahim Faisal, extensive preparations are underway to ensure the year is a resounding success, characterized by the active involvement of all citizens and local islands. The initiative aims to showcase the Maldives’ rich cultural heritage and unique traditions. A primary objective of this project is to bolster national revenue and achieve a target of welcoming 2.5 million tourists throughout the year.
