Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated that the United States is keen on finding a collaborative resolution to end the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia before the onset of this year’s summer.

In a press statement, President Zelenskyy revealed that the U.S. has proposed a new round of negotiations between Ukraine and Russia, scheduled to take place in Miami next week. Ukraine has reportedly accepted this proposal.

According to Zelenskyy, the U.S. administration is aiming for a conclusion to the hostilities prior to the summer season and is expected to exert influence on both nations to achieve this objective. He further noted that the United States intends to see the conflict resolved by June, ahead of the upcoming U.S. Congressional midterm elections.

Despite these efforts, previous discussions led by the U.S. in Abu Dhabi last week—involving all three parties—concluded without significant progress. Zelenskyy mentioned that those talks focused on ensuring Ukraine’s post-war security and the necessary assistance for the nation’s economic reconstruction.

Intensive Strikes on Ukraine’s Energy Infrastructure

President Zelenskyy has also accused Russia of launching massive aerial strikes targeting Ukraine’s energy production facilities.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Zelenskyy detailed that Russia deployed 400 drones and 40 missiles today, aiming at various energy infrastructure sites across the country. He emphasized that instead of pursuing diplomatic avenues, Russia continues to prioritize daily military escalations.
