Despite losing 1-0 to Arsenal in the English Premier League last night, Manchester United coach Ruben Amorim says his team has proven they can beat any team. Amorim said that the team, which narrowly avoided relegation last season, played well against a strong team like Arsenal. “I’m very satisfied with the performance. Arsenal is a very good team. We showed tonight that we can beat any team,” the coach said.

He said that in the first Premier League match, United players gave supporters a hopeful sight and that he is optimistic about the results this season. “If we continue to play like this in the upcoming matches, others’ confidence in the team will greatly increase. In fact, even though we lost this match, we are finishing on a very good note,” the coach said. New forward Benjamin Sesko, who was brought to the team for this season, started the match in the last 30 minutes. The coach said that Sesko is a big improvement for United and that he still needs time to adapt to the team.

Turkish goalkeeper Altay Bayindir played as the first-choice keeper in this match instead of goalkeeper André Onana. Arsenal’s goal came from his mistake. However, the coach said this doesn’t mean Onana is excluded from the team. “I’m not excluding Onana from the team. I chose two other keepers over him for this match. I trust all the keepers in the team,” the coach said. United is the only team among the big English clubs that is not playing in any European competition this season. This is due to poor results in the previous season.
