The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) has expressed concern over the Zionist state’s decision to expand settlements in the West Bank, stating that it violates international law and is illegal. The Zionist government has decided to establish new settlements in an area called Ma’ale Adumim, located outside of Jerusalem in the West Bank. The project to expand settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem area is named ‘E1’. This was announced by the extremist Jewish Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich. He is a radical settler living in Ma’ale Adumim, an illegally occupied Palestinian territory. He stated that the E1 settlement expansion project is aimed at depriving Palestinians of their right to live in a sovereign, independent state.
The OHCHR spokesperson said that the E1 project, which the government of Zionist extremist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has decided to implement, constitutes a war crime. He added that the project would force Palestinians living in the West Bank and Ma’ale Adumim area to leave their homes and migrate to other areas, resulting in the loss of their homes. With the Jewish plan, the population in the West Bank will be divided into separate areas, and the spokesperson also stated that forcing residents of an occupied territory to relocate by an occupying power is a crime under international law.
The E1 project is set to be implemented on 1,214 hectares of land. This is Palestinian land that has been seized by Jews. Netanyahu’s extremist government has decided to build 4,000 housing units to settle Jews in this area. In addition, the brutal Netanyahu has included plans to develop a hotel and roads in the area. Palestinians continue to plead with the international community to help establish a Palestinian state in the West Bank and Gaza. This is being obstructed by the Jews and their biggest ally and supporter, the United States. Currently, about 500,000 Jews live in the West Bank. And the number of Jews settled in East Jerusalem has reached 220,000.
