The UN Office for Human Rights has stated that the Israeli occupation forces have escalated their crimes aimed at ethnically cleansing Palestinians living in the occupied West Bank. “In recent weeks, Israeli settlers and security forces have intensified the killing and abuse of Palestinians in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem,” said OHCHR spokesperson Tameen Al-Kheitan. According to the UN, since January, Israel has displaced more than 40,000 Palestinians living in the West Bank.

The West Bank is a Palestinian territory of about 5,600 square kilometers between Zionist Israel and Jordan. However, after the 1967 Middle East war, the Jews took control of that land. And, in violation of international laws, the Jews continue to fragment the West Bank lands and encroach on additional territories. They are also settling Jews there. The Jews continue to impose colonial rule over the Muslims living in that land.

Statistics from the West Bank Settlement Council, Yesha, show that between 2013 and 2023, the number of Jewish settlers in the West Bank increased by 38 percent, from 374,000 to 517,000. The OHCHR reports that since January, 757 Jewish settlers have attacked Palestinians and their property, a 13% increase compared to the same period last year.

Since October 7, 2023, attacks by Jewish settlers and terrorist forces have killed 964 Palestinians in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.
