UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has announced that they have begun sending additional military aircraft and vessels to the Middle East to help maintain stability in the region.
On June 13, Israeli forces initiated an attack on Iran, killing several Iranian scientists and senior military officials. In retaliation, Iran launched drone and missile attacks on Zionist Israeli territories, causing significant damage.
Subsequently, Israeli forces launched new attacks targeting Iranian oil storage facilities last night. In response, Iran has also launched powerful attacks on Israel.
Before departing for the G7 Summit in Canada, Starmer told reporters that the UK is preparing to send military aircraft along with other military vessels to the Middle East.
He stated that this is being done to help establish stability in the region.
British combat aircraft are already active in the area, countering threats from militant groups operating in Iraq and Syria. According to Starmer’s spokesperson, recognizing that the confrontations between Iran and Israel have escalated into a regional conflict, they began deploying military vessels to the area starting Friday morning.
He added that additional combat aircraft, along with vessels used for refueling military bases, will also be sent to the region.
