The Maldives Billiard Association has unveiled an ambitious USD 4 million project to establish two international-standard billiard arenas by the year 2032. Under this master plan, the association is currently in discussions with the government to develop a world-class arena at its existing premises, featuring dedicated facilities for sports tourism and commercial ventures.
These arenas are envisioned as inclusive spaces for all age groups, equipped to host various disciplines including Snooker, Carrom, and Chinese Eight-ball. This initiative aims to position the Maldives as a premier venue for international tournaments. Despite existing financial challenges, the association remains committed to expanding and elevating the sport within the next two years.
