The Ministry of Sports and Fitness has announced that arrangements have been made to screen the second match between Sri Lanka and Maldives in the South Asian Super Cup 2025 at the Youth Center screen today. As the government has arranged for many people to watch the match from one location, today’s match is set to be broadcast live on PSM’s TVM and Voice of Maldives. PSM has prepared special coverage for this match. While the Maldivian team won the first match of the South Asian Super Cup currently underway at Sri Lanka’s Race Course Stadium, the Football Association of Maldives (FAM) and the Maldivian team’s wish is to further amplify the voice of Maldivian supporters in today’s match.
As such, FAM has requested Maldivians living in Sri Lanka to go to the stadium to welcome tomorrow’s match. President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has called to congratulate and encourage the Maldivian national team participating in the “South Asian Super Cup 2025”. The President called the coach of the Maldivian national team, Mohamed Shiyaz (Mohan), to congratulate the national team on their victory in the match played in this tournament. Additionally, the President requested to work with national enthusiasm to win gold medals for the Maldivian nation in football.
