Additionally, the National Meteorological Service has issued a white alert from AA. Atoll to L. Atoll, forecasting winds of 19 to 24 miles per hour, with gusts up to 45 miles per hour in squalls, and very rough seas. The white alert for AA. Atoll to L. Atoll is also in effect from 07:30 AM to 01:30 PM today.
The National Meteorological Service stated that over the next 24 hours, various parts of the Maldives will experience rain showers with thunderstorms, and some islands may receive heavy rainfall. According to the National Meteorological Service records, B. Dharavandhoo received the highest rainfall in the past 24 hours, with 44.5 millimeters of rain. The National Meteorological Service said that westerly and northwesterly winds of 15 to 25 miles per hour will blow over the central atolls. Southern atolls will experience winds of 10 to 20 miles per hour, with gusts up to 45 miles per hour in squalls. They also forecasted that from last Monday, average wind speeds of 15 to 25 miles per hour will persist until Thursday.
