The schedule for the Dhivehi Premier League, set to begin on the 18th of this month, has been shared with the clubs. According to the schedule, the first match of the Premier League will be between Maziya Sports & Recreation Club and Club Eagles on Thursday night. This match is scheduled to start at 21:00 on Thursday night. The second match will be on Friday evening between TC Sports Club and New Radiant Sports Club. On the same night at 21:00, there will be a match between BG Sports Club and Victory Sports Club.
As the football season restarts after a long wait for the clubs, a total of 10 teams will compete in this year’s Dhivehi Premier League. This includes Odi Sports Club, which was promoted from the second division, and New Radiant Sports Club, which has regained a place in the first division after a gap of many years. In addition, the league includes Club Eagles, Club Green Streets, Victory Sports Club, United Victory, Maziya Sports & Recreation Club, Club Valencia, BG Sports Club, and TC Sports Club.
Previously in the first division, Super United Sports has informed FAM that they will not be able to play in the first division this season. Consequently, their place in the first division was given to New Radiant.
