President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has extended warm felicitations to the Emir, the Prime Minister, and the people of Kuwait on the occasion of the country’s National Day and Independence Day.
In his message, the President commended Kuwait’s remarkable progress and expressed profound appreciation for the continuous developmental assistance provided to the Maldives through the Kuwait Fund. Furthermore, President Muizzu emphasized the enduring relationship between the two nations, built on a foundation of mutual trust and shared values. He also conveyed his commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest for the benefit of both nations.
Diplomatic relations between the Maldives and Kuwait were officially established in 1977.
